With Bobby McFerrin's song softly singing into my ears, his message of hope is what i bring for you.
He says don't worry be happy. Even when despondence stares you in the face. and try as you
can, you just can see the way out, please don't worry. when you get to THAT point in life,
you must be able to identify those things that can and can't help you. i personally have walked that course,
charted that route, and i tell you categorically that fear and neither worry can help you.
So they shouldn't be your companion when all looks bleak. If i will die, i will rather die happy than with surlyness.
1. Always try to see the brighter side of every incidence or circumstance
2. Believe me this, no matter how dismal it looks, one thing i'm sure is that someone somewhere is not probably, but certainly
worse than yours. so cheer up!
3. Get a new mantra, that you will chant all day long. "IT WILL BE WELL". it doesn't have to look like it,
you just have to say it, believe it and right before your very eyes, It will be well
I was once asked that if i was to choose between the lion and the deep blue sea, which would i choose. tough one huh?
but then time was ticking so i said the deep blue sea. Why? the person asked. i told her that if i jump into the water and stay
still, i wont sink and rather float, so what i have to battle with would be hypothermia i.e freezing to death
and that won't happen suddenly. maybe while i'm out there, the coast guard, a random fisherman or a fishing trawler would capture me
and bring me to safety. Who knows? but its not impossible. perhaps a playful dolphin will throw me in the air a couple of times and
attract peoples attention to my predicament, like i said, Who knows? Punchline is Hope and not woeey will heep me alive.
And even if my wildest wishes didn't come to pass. i would die with a smile on my face.
and somebody somewhere will post my story somewhere and people will read and get inspired. Bottom-line is - Stay Positive

What are you saying? What are you saying?
I have not been here in a long while. I thought of moving off to another blog site. I did! But i still am back here blogging again. Don't ask me why cos i don't know myself. Anywayz, it would be nice to talk about adequate expression as key to human interactions.
If as they say, over 70% of human communication is non verbal, then why talk? I'm just kidding. But more importantly, the power of adequate expression can't be over emphasized. The day you'll appreciate it is when you are mis-read or quoted as saying what you didn't say. (this one is funnier). I hear you saying it, but i don't feel it being said.
Whoever you are, a student, teacher, business man or woman, sportsman etc. You need to learn to make complete communication viz- the words and the attendant non-verbal communication.
Gestures like smiles, pauses, hand movements can accentuate the words being said or draw attention off of them thus rendering your attempt to communicate futile.
First, you have to believe whatever you are saying and say it like you believe it. Let your innards propel emotions to your face when attempting to clinch that deal. Give that customer more than they bargained for, an extra smile would cost you nothing and at the same time gain you more customers.
To go through all forms of non verbal communication would be expedient but difficult to do here but i'll try my best.
One thing however that you should get is that whether you are aware of it or not, you are sending non verbal signals all the time. What you have to do now is to observe yourself. Observe your actions, reactions and responses, your hand movements, leg positioning, reflex actions just to mention a few. All these send connotative signals and if you ain't aware of the message you are passing accross, that could be dangerous cos it could be contradictory to what your words are saying. If non-verbal takes over 70%, then it needs to be harnessed and put to good use. We'll pick it up from there next time.
Till then its Hasarla... Creating a New Reality.

The Void
The rich also cry
And the poor can't but sigh
Cos in the midst of wealth piled so high
And pockets so damn dry
There still exists a void
That no one can successfully avoid
In the center of your essence
You can't deny the abscence of a prescence
The insatiability of wants staring you in the face
The different stages of life and attendant phases
The inexplicable financial homeostasis
That leaves you praying for an oasis
The inevitability of the grave
With consequences that are so grave
In a time when few exists that are really brave
To seek, find and fill that deep hole
And finally become whole
To become somebody to somebody
And find something to live for
Only then will you find peace
In the midst of all this chaos
And the poor can't but sigh
Cos in the midst of wealth piled so high
And pockets so damn dry
There still exists a void

Spirit Of Naija
Come with me and feel the vibe
The Nigerian spirit; spread among over 250 tribes
The background tune being hummed by every Nigerian
We never say never but say " Yes we Can!"
You can take away all but don't give me death
Nigerians will struggle even with their last breath
When challenges come, we don't look down and frown hard
We climb on them and overcome cos we are MAD
Making A Difference in our spheres
Charting a course straight for the stars
With the strength of the horse and the eagle
Aptly expressed on our Coat of arms: So noble
Nothing can dampen the Nigerian spirit
I'm brimming with it. Do you have it?
Cos a Nigerian i was born and that I'll be
And I'll fly my flag, highly proudly

In Times Of Despair
Look around you if you must
but i can assure you u'll get nothing but dust
in times when things look so bleak
All strength gone and you are so damn weak
Reason to keep Going on
You have none
Battling with the resolve to give up
Striving so hard not to flop
stopped in ur tracks by the overwhelming weight u av to carry
It might come in any way that it myt even be scary
But Be of Good cheer cos i've got news for you
Take time to look at the sun as it comes out of the blue
The night cant last longer than it can
But if you look deep within You will know that you can
Why give up and live with the feeling of failure
when u can Look up to god draw energy from his unfailing allure
Its when you are hardest hit
That you should know that Ur success is important
If it aint important it wont be dis rough
Just stand firm and show them you are tough
Dont let the lemons being thrown at u deter you
Rather make lemonade in the prescence of the worlds view
Succeed Cos it aint just about you
So do whatever it is that you have to do.
just get to the finish line
but i can assure you u'll get nothing but dust

Traveling Through Life
African folklore holds that life is a stage where you come, act your part as thr hero or heroine of your own story and leave. True, but I want to view life as a journey that you undertake; a journey from A to B, from Birth till Death, From Grass to Grace and from Peasant to King.
Here are some tips you need while traveling through life;
1. Travel light:
You can always tell the difference between an experienced traveller and a new one by the size of their luggage. Too many people travel through life with a lot of emotional baggage which they haven’t learnt to let go. Travelling light is about finding your priorities, carrying along only the essential stuff and asking for forgiveness along the way.
2. Take someone with you:
Life is all about relationships. What’s the fun in life if you live alone, the creator in his wisdom couldn’t have created us all if He didn’t want us interacting. In fact it’s His will that we live as one, so find someone who knows you and sees you for who you really are, someone who brings out the best in you, who believes in you and will walk hand in hand with you till the end of your journey or till death do you both part.
3. Follow the road map:
Have a game plan. If you don’t know where you are going, how can you hope to get there? It’s important you know where you are. (A) By doing self-reflection everyday and knowing where you want to go. (B) By setting goals- but don’t succumb to ‘’destination disease”. Life isn’t only about reaching B; Life happens between A & B. Enjoy the journey!
4. Take the high road:
Those who are instruments of grace to others automatically become recipients of grace themselves. Have a LIFE! It’s all about
1. Your overall frame of reference.
2. Your attitude.
3. Your Assumptions and expectations of yourself, others around you and life in general
Taking the high road means you do not keep scores, you learn to forgive others and do your best to help people around you.
5. Stop and ask for directions
Don’t form superman, No matter the direction you are heading. It’s very likely that someone has been there and done that. Ask advice and save yourself time and resources.
6. Make a U-turn when needed
Life is the art of drawing without an eraser, you can’t turn back time when you have made a mistake, but you can change directions; turn your disappointment into victory, take a U-turn before it’s too late. Not changing when you ought to might be dangerous and even lead to death!
7. Appreciate the detours
Life isn’t a smooth one way street, appreciate and learn to take the detours. Predictors, reminders, opportunities, blessings, lessons, messages, challenges are everywhere. Learn to take which one comes your way. Detours gives joy and adds variety which is the spice of life to your life
8. Take pictures;
There’s a need to create memories as u go. Let go and work like you don’t need the money,
Dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening, Live your life with the littlest of barriers as they limit your fun, love like you’ve never been hurt before, live like its heaven on earth.
9. Travel the extra mile;
If and when it presents itself, always take the extra mile. Who knows what you could find in that extra mile? Another adventure? Maybe a beautiful sight? Or a lovely encounter? Perhaps an enchanting lover? Go the extra mile; it might be worth the whole journey
10. Stop to smell the roses;
Don’t rush through life; take some time to appreciate its beauty. Enjoy the butterflies dance. Last but not the least; be grateful for everyone and everything in your life
11. Creation without creator is a river without its source, so take God along with you every single step of the way. With Him, all things are possible for you. Don’t ever forget that.

Have a Full life
A philosophy professor stood before his class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a large empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, rocks about two inches in diameter. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. So the Professor then picked a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly, the pebbles of course rolled into the open areas between the rocks. Hr then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The student laughed. The professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course the sand filled up everything else.
Now said the professor. I want you to recognise that this jar is your life. The rocks are the important things; your family, you partner, your health, your children. Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, car, house. The sand is everything else. The small stuff.
If you put the sand into the jar first, there is no room for the rocks or the pebbles. The same goes for your life. if you spend all your energy on the small stuff, you would not have time for the things that are important. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness; take time to get medical checkups, take your partner dancing, there will always be time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party. take care of the rocks first. the things that really matter. But a student took the jar and poured in a can of coke, of course the wine filled the remaining spaces making the jar really full.
Moral of the tale is: No matter how full your life is there is always time for a bottle of Wine. Laugh it off people, but dont forget the lesson therein.
